All products need preservatives to keep them free of bacteria. The paraben family of preservatives (methylparaben, propylparaben, butylparaben, ethylparaben) are the most commonly used preservative and are well known to cause skin irritation. All Tommy Dog products are free from paraben preservatives. Tommy Dog formulations contain Phenoxyethanol, which is a Paraben and Formaldehyde free preservative. It is a bactericide, often known as Rose ether. It is used to help preserve the integrity of products and prevent bacterial contamination.
Tommy Dog products have a 2 year shelf life.
Tommy Dog products are not tested on animals and do not contain animal derivatives. We rely on the judgment of pharmacological, toxicological and medical experts. We use non-animal alternative test methods as well as the safety histories of formulations and ingredients to determine product safety.

Human skin and dog skin have different PH levels and using human shampoo on your dog will irritate your pet’s skin. All Tommy Dog products are pH balanced for your dog’s skin.
No, if your pet licks some of the product, it will not harm him because all of our products are free of harmful ingredients.
